About the Author:
I make my home in Ontario, Canada with my family and my Jack Russell Terrier, Jamie.
As a child, I used to visit my aunt and uncle who lived in Kincardine. I grew to love the charming town and the beautiful surrounding area and continue to visit it to this day so it seemed a natural choice on which to base my fictitious town of Dunbarton . Horses have played an important role in my life. Pictured here are my chestnut horse, Devon, a Canadian Sport Horse/ Arab cross and Gem, my grey Thoroughbred (April 8, 1988 - December 22, 2011). My equestrian passion has been the sport of dressage which will feature prominently in the second book of the series, HORSE SENSE. I earned a degree in English Literature from Victoria College at the University of Toronto, which included an advanced writing course with the Author in Residence, and a teaching degree. Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine published my short story, DEADLY QUINTET, a number of years ago. Having completed my full-time teaching career, I am now concentrating on my writing. The Dunbarton Mysteries is a series that begins with CATNIP. The books, in order, are: CATNIP HORSE SENSE FROG LEGS SCAPEGOAT CHAMELEON DRAGON THE REINDEER CAPER ( A Dunbarton Christmas Mystery #1) GINGERBREAD TO DIE FOR (A Dunbarton Christmas Mystery #2) You can follow me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pg/DunbartonMysteries/posts/?ref=page_internal and on Twitter https://twitter.com/VTateAuthor |
